I have a Bandit/Bandito rig, today was change the tire on the sidecar day. While I had the wheel off i thought I'd check the brakes and the wheel bearings. This one does not have cone type wheel bearings but a sleeve or bushing. It needed some grease, there was an unnoticed fitting on the bottom of the housing.
I don't know how often this should be greased, but I've driven it for 2 years without realizing it was there. I bet I'll grease it at least once a season from now on. There is also a fitting on the swing arm pivot that i doubt was greased since it left the factory because of the fitting orientation. It was greased before the body went on. the body is too close to be able to get a grease gun nipple on it. Remove the fitting and install a right angle fitting and position it so you can get to it easily. My swing arm pivot was binding, works much better with grease.
Maybe I'm the only one who didn't know this; just in case I wasn't, here it is.
