I am new here. Have been riding motorcycles since i was 14 (1962) but got my first rig this year. I have several 2 wheelers, including a RoadKing, 1200GS and a Multistrada.
My interest in sidecars was the result of Connie getting a minor spinal injury, and then fibromyalgia. She is no longer able to ride comfortably on the back of the bikes.
I purchased a Ural Retro last Feb in Seattle area, and Connie and I rode it back to Los Angeles (route 1/101 the entire way). Had a blast, and she was very comforyable. During that trip, I realized i needed another rig more suitable for the highways. After considereing a SC on either the RoadKing or the 1200GS, I opted to purchase a 1000 V Strom (Suzuki) and Jay Daunless added a Ural SC for a dual sport rig.
I picked it up in July, have maybe 6,000 miles on it. Very happy with it, Jay put leading legs on the front forks and an electric TILT. In the process of getting a swaybar added as i type this.
I have now realized I am hooked, and want a higher performance rig as well (I will definitely keep the V Strom). I have talked with David Hannigan about a ZX-14 next spring, and this sounds pretty interesting. I am also looking around for interesting used HP units, such as the Bndito type rigs on the Hannigan webb site.

Hey Greg,
Be careful, once you drive one of these, nothing else will do.
