I HAVE been out riding. It's been pretty quiet around here (this forum) lately, since Polar Bear, Flint, Bill and I returned from our travels to the BIG sidecar rally this summer. So just to maybe spark some interest, here are a couple of pictures of places I've been in the past couple of weeks.
Less than 20 miles from where Americade takes place is this pretty scenery:
(and once you're here, there's a nice 60 mile ride around that lake)
And a couple of weeks ago I made my annual pilgrimage to Tracy Road in the Adirondacks (oops, that was on a 2 wheeler, not with the sidecar)
Anybody else visiting any pretty places and/or fun roads lately? _________________ David D

Sorry, no pretty pitures here but I AM out riding nearly every day on two or three wheels as I use the bike and sidecar rig for everyday transportation.
If I can't carry it on the bike or sidecar rig I use my 35 year old beater truck. |

I haven't been on either the sidecar or bike for a while now
Just had my right hip replaced and expect to be back on either 2 or 3 wheels in a couple months

I should have just posted the picture so you didn't have to click on it. I don't post enough to remember how to do these things.

Think I'll stay inside tonight as Sandy goes by...
Glad to see that at least a few of you are still out riding. _________________ David D

BUT ONLY 5 VOTES ON THE POLL QUESTION
OK, OK - maybe you think riding season is over, so can't be bothered to cast a vote on something as insubstantial as riding your sidecar, or maybe nobody cares about going out riding anymore, or maybe ...whatever
lets hope this level of enthusiasm doesn't carry over into politics...
(for US members of this forum)

OK, back home now. I rode the sidecar to the polling place, cast my votes, then went for a few groceries and a short ride before coming home. Temperature is in mid 30's today.
RE: my comment above about staying inside as Sandy went by last week- see my reply to Polar Bear's question on the Week After the Week Before thread. _________________ David D

Nice picture – all that’s missing is a straw farmer’s hat and a piece of hay to chew on in your mouth. _________________ David D
