Warning! High performance sidecars can be hazarderous to your health! Can cause shortness of breath, hypertension and great bodily harm if not cautious. On the other hand, when everything goes right, its one hell of adrenaline rush and just pure fun! Big Grin

A couple of weeks ago they were having an event on Sunday in a small town a few miles from us. Always a good event. On Saturday night, I called my friend Jim and asked him if he wanted to go. For those who don’t know Jim; he has been to Maggie Valley and the Dragon a couple of times with me. He knows how to monkey. He said sure; I told him I would pick him up about 11:30am. I picked him up on Sunday; it was a beautiful day, about 65 degrees, and dead calm. About 7 miles down the road which is all curves and I am familiar with, we were just going along at a nice pace. Checked my mirror, and there were 6 bikes behind me. All of a sudden in a short straight, a guy on a BMW 1200 GS came around me, just flat getting it. In a moments flash, my brain meter went from 71 to 21 (years). Checked the mirror for Jim, could see he was ready. Down shifting and checking to see if anyone else was coming around me all at the same time. The game was on! I was on the guy's rear end and he kept pushing harder and harder. I thought “damn this guy can ride!” He reminded me of Steve, the Kentucky boy. Checked my mirrors again, and the other 5 bikes were no where to be seen. This went on for a while. Jim was all over the sidecar, in and out of it. Felt like we were at Maggie Valley. We pulled up to a stop sign; the guy pulled over to the side of the road to wait for his buddies. I pulled up next to him. .He lifted his shield up; he was grinning from ear to ear, and giving us thumbs up!! Jim and I went on. We never saw the other guys.

Just pure fun!!. My thanks to the BMW rider! Very Happy

Big Grin Awesome!, You should have pulled your helmet off so he could have seen he was dicing with a great grandfather late for his meals on wheels delivery! Laughing
