Ok, I'm putting this here because this section gets the most traffic.

If you can make it and have any kind of a sidecar...LPS, MPS, HPS F2 or F1, Summit Point WV Aug 27th and 28th is going to be the place to be. Even if you don't own a sidecar, this will be a great event to go to and see em all. Big Grin Big Grin The ISOK Sidecar RON DEE VOO VII will be held at the track the same days Aug 27-28, 2011. Several of us went last year and had a great time. We all got to do a parade lap on the track and one brave HPS owner even got in several laps as a passenger on an F1 sidecar! Laughing Laughing All around a great event and an opportunity to get out and support the SRA (Sidecar Racers Association) and the men and women who race them. http://www.sidecarracers.com/

There's camping available at the track as well as concessions etc. Some of us stayed here last year.

Winchester VA is nearby with lots of motels and restaurants.

So start making your plans. This event is open to everyone, sidecar or not, low performance or high performance. Just come and enjoy.Very Happy

What Bill didn't mention is that the picture he included in the above post is actually several of us (non-racers) doing the parade lap that he mentioned. It was fun, even though they didn't let us try to go as fast as the racers do. Very Happy Very Happy

It's on my schedule, and I plan on arriving at the Econo Lodge North sometime in the late afternoon on Friday.

We made a good choice last year by driving over to the track Friday evening and purchasing our weekend passes.

Bruce.

Glad you can make it! Can you make sure this topic get's spread around to the other sidecar sites? Hopefully we can have a great turnout.

We've been watching weather reports and they all say that Saturday will be fine with a chance of showers on Sunday. Ron, Bill, and I are heading for Summit Point Friday morning regardless of any weather predictions. The 3 sidecars are loaded on the trailer and ready to go. The sidecar race for Sunday morning is at 10. From what I'm seeing, I imagine that race will happen. If we do go for a ride on Sunday we can ride west and south away from the storm. C U there Big Grin
