Hey Ralph, saw the new HP web site picture of you and the Comanche. I noticed you were burning a little oil last year at Maggie Valley but this is ridiculous. Haven't you heard the Surgeon Generals warning that second had smoke kills? So, how many miles per quart are you getting now Laughing

"It's summer time and the livin is easy"

The sun is out, I got my shades on, my straw hat on, and a bottle of rum! It's time to get out and have some fun!

Not bad for an old geezer and an antique HPS Big Grin

Way to go Ralph, the ridding season is here.

Anybody else find this picture as entertaining as I do?? Laughing Laughing

Some seniors spend their time in the rocking chair on the front porch, then there is Ralph. He puts on his straw hat and goes out and does what I call the Kentucky line dance. You gotta love it! Very Happy

TO THE WEBMASTER:
Could (would) you insert Ralph's picture inside of this thread, so that when our picture of the week/month at the top of the page changes, future readers will know what we're all referring to and still be able to make sense of these comments? (well, OK, I guess I'm being overly generous by attributing any sense to any of this in the first place Laughing Laughing )

Ralph, GREAT PICTURE!!! Looks like you were having loads of fun. I liked the old yellow and green paint job better than the more recent look. And Doug can wear a gas mask if he doesn't like the smoke Cool

Hi Guys,

Just a few words from a Brit.

I agree that all photos would be better if they were included in the text of the forum .. I'm hooked up on a few other on-line bike groups and they do it .. it's much better. Wink

This fantastic action shot of Ralph really does look like fun .. but I could never do that to my engine or rear tyre. Crying or Very sad

I also doubt that anyone would get away with it over here on this side of the pond these days?

Looking at the black rubber and white markings on the 'track' lift off area .. I'm guessing it a drag strip start.

No Barrier between Bikes and Spectators? No Helmet? No Leathers or even a pair of Gloves?

Do you guys have any Safety Laws .. or is it all just a case of 'Hang On and Hope' type stuff Shocked

Stay Safe People Wink Polar Bear (Brit in Spain)

Ralph-

Yup, on the street! And don't ever quit! Think I am speaking for everyone. Very Happy

By the way Ralph, a while back I received a video. I asked the wife to download it while I went to the library(bathroom), then to the kitchen. By this time, it had been quite a while. You have to remember I have dial-up service. Veerrryyy slow . All of a sudden I heard this loud laughter . I went to check with my wife what was going on. She was watching your birthday party video, and the killing of the TV. We both sat and watched it several times, laughing. Loved it!! Belated happy birthday; I'm slow too.

not to worry Polar Bear, it was all done with Photo-shop Laughing

Actually, Ralph lives in a special place, with special friends and special rules. Some of us just think of him as "special" Big Grin

That old FJ has over 200k miles on it and is way tougher and faster than one might think until you try to follow old grandaddy. Like the country song we have over here says, "he might not be as good as he once was but he's as good once as he ever was" Laughing

Our forefathers threw tea into Boston harbor to protest government involvement in our lives over here. Fortunately we still have a few people over here willing to throw tea into the harbor. Smile

Thanks for the update on all things Ralph guys .. I'm getting the picture Big Grin I think.

In fact .. I'm almost sure I saw Ralph in a film once .. a few years back .. but it was the same hat!

Just trying to remember the title .. Oh ya that was it .. 'Deliverance' Laughing

I normally end my posts with a simple 'Stay Safe' .. but in this case I really don't think it will have much impact Confused

Happy Days Y'all Cool Polar Bear .
