What kind of bars do you have on your bike?
How about mirrors?
What riding position do you like?
What about foot pegs?
What type or brand seat?
Etc.

Any comfort or ergonomic modifications? Motorcycle Happy

The original riding position on my Blackbird was very lay down uncomfortable for me.
When I bought the bike it had Heli bars on it. Still not enough for me.
I now have a set of modified Honda Hawk bars, About 6” taller than stock. I also added older FJR Bar ends to make them wider.
I also added a Corbin Gun fighter/lady seat, about ½” lower than stock.
All of this allows me to sit up straighter.
Zero Gravity shield for better wind protection.
I added a Vista cruise too for the Highway trips so I could shake out the numbness on my throttle hand.
I was also able to obtain a set of custom foot pegs that are about 1 inch lower and back further, that I have not installed yet.

The stock bars on my CB1100F were tweaked, and they didn't have enough leverage when I first added the sidecar, so I bought a set of Renthal motocross bars for a KX80-100 and ran them until recently when I picked up a set of Telefix clip-ons from ebay. I haven't had a chance to try them yet, I've gotta fix the wife's truck first Crying or Very sad
I use CRG billet bar end mirrors on the hack and my R1, I had them on my CB1000, they're kinda pricey, but the optics are first rate, they fold, and I can see past my shoulders now Smile Here's a link for them... www.constructorsrg.com
The bike had a Corbin gunfighter seat on it when I got it, one of the few pluses it had in it's favor... Rolling Eyes I had one of these on my CB1000 as well, I like the firmer foam, it keeps me from getting monkey-butt so quickly...
The bikini fairing breaks a little of the wind, but I've never minded the wind too much, I wear earplugs on longer jaunts, the roar does wear on me.
Stock CBR600 rearsets, I could juggle them around with some welding and drilling, we'll see how it goes as I get more miles with the new powerplant....
That's about it for the driver amenities, everything else is like it is out of backyard engineering or budgetary constraints, but I'm up for changing anything that'll get us through the corners faster or at least keep us out of the ditch Very Happy

The K bike rig in it's present form has short bars on it and a leaning forward seating position. When I broke my back a few years ago (among other things) in a motorcycle wreck the doctor said this position would be better for me than the more upright stance. Well it took some getting used to but now it is fine. Did a saddle sore 1000 and held up nicely. The leverage was not there, of course, with the short bars and with the stock forks and a 135 tire on the front it was a little tough to steer especially at slower speeds. After the rebuild this winter the steering effort should be a little less, I hope.

I like a nice, flat bar .. nothing dropped too low, but a nice, direct, straight steering connection to the top triple tree.. my last three bikes have had the same bar on it, from a Yamaha RD400 .. bike gets sold, it's the first thing to be removed for the next bike coming up. Gawd help me if the next bike doesn't use a tubular handlebar setup.. i won't know what to do.

On my K11RS I'm pretty happy with the riding position, I have Helibars and a Corbin rumble seat. It leans me over pretty far but nothing like the GTS.

With the stock handlebars it took almost a whole bottle of Motrin to make it from NC to Lexington Ky and back. With the Helibars it only took a couple tablets.

I am planning on replacing the Rumble seat, its starting to show its age and the fit was never quite right. I've bought a used stock seat and am thinking of sending it to Sargent for a rebuild. Want it to end up looking about like the rumble seat when its folded down. I think one time I've had number one son on the back of the bike, so I don't really need a two seater seat.
