Ever since the CHS upgrade the front brake has been less than I expected. I've probably bled the system 500 times and never had a firm feeling lever.
A few people convinced me that since I went from 2 four piston calipers to 2 six piston calipers and one two piston caliper I needed a larger master cylinder. Which made sense, however on a BMW is not as easy as on some other bikes. The master cylinder, throttle and switch gear are all together, and the master cylinder is what they all bolt to.
It turned out the master cylinder Doug used is no longer available, and the guys at European Motorcycle Accessories recommended a Brembo as being similiar. I so ordered the biggest racing master cylinder Brembo makes.
Then I started with this, a perfectly fine BMW master cylinder (actually a leaky one from the junk box, not the one pictured.)
After two hack saw blades ended up with this
which gave me what I neede to hold the throttle and switch gear in place.
Final results
Haven't had time for a real test yet, other than up and done the gravel drive, so far so good, the first test locked up the front wheel and dug a trench in the gravel,,,,,,,,, _________________ Mike Currin

I rode the rig to work today, an order of magnitude improvement. _________________ Mike Currin
