Hey gang!

Have had sidecars for a few years, but just purchased a 01' Hayabusa w/Hannigan Sprint (one of the origianl Yellow/purple ones). I'm picking it up this week. I have a 05' Goldwing with a GTL and a 92' HD Softail with a Legend.........neither qualify as HPS........thought the GTL is pretty fast for a BIG PIG! (Wink)

I have riden BillMc's Blackbird once and that is my experience with an HPS. As a pure "toy" I talked the wife into the BUSA, but she was not interested in 28K for a new Concours/Bandito for some reason.

Looking for info and glad to finally be moving toward HPS status.....! I explained to a friend that compaired to a full HPS the rig I bought was like a Buick Grand National.....pretty good but you won't be keeping up with a 911 in any corners.

Any advice or opinions are welcome!

Dan,

Welcome,

Your Buickusa probably fits in the high end of the MPS, Medium Performance Sidecar, category. Big Grin Big Grin

Should have enough motor.

With all these ZX-14's showing up my K1100 will soon be moved down to MPS status................. Sad

Mike

HPS, MPS????? TMA (To Many Acronyms Very Happy)

High Performance = Good Rider. You can have as powerful an outfit as you wish, but if you haven't got the skills to use the power it might as well have pedals Razz

My Pan European, with Flexit sidecar, has theoretically just 100bhp (although with 112,000 miles on the clock it probably actually puts out much less) but can still easily show a clean set of heels to so called 'sport bike' riders who can ride quickly in straight lines but crawl around bends.

Cool but what about playing with people with HPS that like to play Big Grin hehe there are sport bike riders that are a little more than road plugs Smile I go much faster on my sidecar through corners than I do on 2 wheels, Not sure what that is about Big Grin Old me guesses Laughing
