Well besides the lighting upgrades, which have already gotten me labeled as "intense" and "anal" I've also been redoing the steering linkage. Two reasons for this, one to get some of the play out of it, and two to get a little more lock to lock steering angle.

I was going to get before and after pictures but the camera batteries were dead, and I didn't want to wait for a recharge to start disassembly.

Main thing was to make a new wishbone. This one is a few inches longer than the old one to hopefully increase the turn ratio.

In the old setup there was a 5/8" rod between the two "fork tubes" and the wishbone pivoted on the tubes, supported b two bearings. I could never get the side to side play out, also had a little wobble in the bearings. The new steup uses rod ends.

Still some work to do, the back of the fender is dangerously close to the ground so may have to bob it.

Thanks, but I think I can handle it, got a perfectly good $1.98 hacksaw.
