It's an 89 Yamaha FJ1200, with about 42,000 mi.
The sidecar is a California Friendship I, so I'm guessing it's from the early 80's. I had the two parts mated by Matt of Felony Fabrications in Santa Clarita, ca. Matt handbuilt the leading link front end, and all the mounts.
Now that it's painted up, I'm replacing the mounting hardware, and all the trim & lights.
The front brakes are from a recent Yamaha R6.
It rides very well, and handles nice, and straight.
I'm still adapting to the riding part.

It's a bit of a hike for you but why not bring that nice looking rig to the 6th Annual Gathering of High Performance Sidecars in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina June 21 to 25, 2006?

Read more about it: http://hometown.aol.com/sidebike99/HP/Sidecars.html

I appreciate the invite, but I already have one rally planned for this June.

I'm hoping my 8 year old likes this rig, and she and I can take some trips with it.

5 months later. It's too bad the kid doesn't get as much of a kick out of it as I do.
Calling Greg Benner !
