Gday all, its Leonski from Adelaide South Australia.I have a deep rooted passion to own and ride a Bike/sidecar outfit. I think it stems from when i was a baby. When i was born in 1960 my families daily transport was a Norton 500 single fitted up with a sidecar. Even my Mum used to ride it around while my Dad was at work! With me i think its always been a case of being pulled off the Tit too early! Ive been riding bikes since i was about 13yrs old and my current bike is a Moto Guzzi 1400 Custom Caliafornian. That would be a great bike to fit a sidecar to but i want to keep it as it is. My question is > would a ST 1100 Honda be a suitable bike to fit a sidecar?I also want to have 16" car tyres on the outfit and fit a leading link front end. Any information and opinions wold be much appreciated. CHEERS

Hi Leonski and welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have the sidecar bug. Laughing Your in luck, sidewise on this forum has just the rig you are proposing to build. The ST1100 is an excellent bike to put a sidecar on. Here's a link to sidewise introduction with pictures of his ST1100.

Except that our friend Sidewise put the sidecar on what I imagine Leonski will think is the wrong side of the bike. Big Grin Big Grin

Good luck with your upcoming project.

In any case, welcome to the forum, Leonski. Enjoy your summer, which should be starting today. We're starting our winter today here up north, and already the ground is covered with snow.
