Anyone using a Speedohealer?
I've been using a yellowbox, but have started having some starnge behaviour from my speedometer.

Yes Mike,
Bill and I are using the speedo healer.
Have had no issues, works great.
Plugs right into the factory wire harness.
I will buy another one for the ZX14. _________________ Bill

I don't think a speedo healer would have helped at all that day.

I just installed a speedo healer on my Bandito. Installation is a plug-in deal, no sweat. Could'nt be happier with this unit. Turns out I was reading about 16% too fast because of the small diameter rear tire. After setting the unit at -16% I ran thru one of those roadside radar signs ("YOUR SPEED IS...") and went thru at 40mph then 50 mph. I was within 1mph at both passes. The 16% setting was a lucky guess. I was prepared to make a few radar passes and adjust till I got it right but did'nt have to. If you don't have radar available, I guess you could have someone with an accurate speedo run in front of you and beep the horn at 40 or 50mph to see how far off your speedo is, and then adjust the healer as required. I never have been one to rush into new things, but I finally got a SpeedoHealer for my Bandito. Changed the rear tire last year to a smaller diameter and my speedometer went from inaccurate but tolerable to wildly inaccurate, so, after pondering the situation for a year, decided to go for it.
Hey, those things are GREAT
Easy to install, the hardest part was getting the plug for the speed sensor apart. Using the GPS as the "correct" speedometer, made one run to get the amount of error, plug the numbers into the formula they give you, punch the correction factor into the unit and now it works fine. Shoulda done it years ago
Now I just have to remember that when it says I'm doing 80, I'm really doing 80, not 65 _________________ David D
