marc here in alabama Very Happy , this site really hit the nail on the head, fast aggressive riding! i am on my second sidecar. 2005 v-strom 1000 with a conti classic hannigan car. my first rig was a 1500 wing /champ escort. it really was the poo. Cool looked like the circus was in town, all lit up with lights and a matching trailer to boot. more like a bus than a bike lol my other habit is fast bikes, Twisted Evil old new it dont matter, now fast sidecars. ok i am invested in this suz conti set up. its quick but its tall and moves around alot. whant to try to modify what i can afford. leading link and hub steering is out to much money. i can afford a good shock and front springs, maybe a leading leg mod offered by Daughtless sidecars, or triple tree mods.its about a grand not bad bang for the buck, mean while i am spending the winter redoing everything, adding brakes to the car, and am goinr through all the adjustments. any advice on toe in and suspension set up would be appr. the hack has an electric trim control so i hope this helps in make it a good day to day ride this aint going to be no duel sport hack i ride all sreet Big Grin

But if you had a used LL you'd only need to build triple trees to fit the Strom

Welcome

Marc,

Most leading link conversions (at least EML and Unit) use the stock triple trees. The Unit even uses the stock front wheel, where as the EML uses their own wheel with a car tire. If you could find the whole leading link front end used it would just be a matter of modifying the triple trees to fit the V-Strom.

Or just watch for used already set up rig.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

So where in AL are you. I've lived in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Auburn, many years ago.

Mike
