Hello all,

I'm a long time sidecarist with a longing for a more high performance rig!

I'm currently driving an old '81 BMW R100RT with an EML GT Tour kit. While it has a leading link and car tires, they are the old 125 series VW tires. I love the roominess of the big hack, but believe the Beemer is being pressed into service it isn't really suited for.

I long for a Hannigan Bandito, whether on a Bandit 1200 or the newer ZX14 rig. I also admire one-off rigs, and dream of building my own.

Cheers,
Denny in Harvard IL USA

Wecome Kilted,

You got some Scottish blood running through your veins then Question
Hope you stick around because I'm sure there are people on here who can point you in the right direction, either fora HPS or even to build your own.

have a look in the photograph section and see if there's any ideas in there that take your fancy.

A warm welcome

Thanks for the welcome, Keith!

Yeah, a bit of Scottish blood, but not enough to claim the full reason for the kilt. I just tried it at a rennaisance faire (kind of an outdoor party where everyone pretends it's the middle ages) and found I really liked it! I don't wear them that often, I find it a bit too breezy when on the hack. Big Grin Plus, chicks seem to dig it, though creepily enough it's guys more often who ask what I wear under it. Rolling Eyes

I may get to the USCA National up in Duluth this year, not sure at this time. Anyone with a HPS going up there?

Denny

Welcome Denny,

My brain is misfiring this morning, but sometime last week and somewhere on the web I saw a used Bandito 1200 for sale.

We've got an R80RT / EML Tour T in the barn, a very good MPS (medium performance sidecar). Number one son will soon be taking it over.

Mike

Yeah, I saw the Bandito for sale. Exactly what I want, too bad I'm going through a divorce right now. I'm just trying to keep the EML for the time being, can't buy anything till the lawyers have had their say.

Denny, in the midst of "the bad old days."
