Will you be changing planes on the east coast of the US.? Boston or New York? If you come through Boston, we could get together.

I wish you were coming through Boston. It would have been fun to get together. Good luck to the six French teams entered in the Pikes Peek event. Big Grin

Are your shipping your sidecars by Air or Ocean? What is the cost to ship your sidecar to the US?

Wow! $8000 transportation for 1 sidecar seems very expensive.

How much was just the ocean freight?

We hope to visit Europe some day but it looks like it would be too expensive to bring our sidecar.

I'd love to come, but my own race schedule conflicts.

For anyone interested in going: the Pike's Peak race is Sunday, July 20th. Racing starts at 9:00 AM. I believe that if you want to spectate on the course, you need to go up the day before and camp out overnight.

Pike's Peak is just up the road from Colorado Springs, Colorado (home of the USA Olympic Training Center).

I'm considering it but haven't decided yet. It depends on my work schedule. It's far for me and would have to fly there from Boston

Yesterday I talked to another competitor at Pikes Peak, Ben Stratton, who was part of the Max BMW team that fielded 4 BMWs in the 1200 motorcycle class. I asked if he had seen the French sidecar team. Yes, he had seen them and their "strange looking outfit", but not gotten much of a chance to talk to them. They didn't appear to talk much english, he said, but were very friendly, always smiling and giving the "thumbs up" to other competitors. And most impressive, once the got on the course, "Man, they were REALLY FAST!"

If they were that fast on a ZX12, who's going to show us what a ZX14 HPS can do next year Question
