This is mostly a cut and paste from a message I sent Bill M added a few things.
Rigs working pretty well, been ridin it to work all this week, just occasionally have to go out to the parking lot and give the "rig tour"
Still a few adjustments to make, back brake is still a little, OK a lot, mushy need to get the rest of the air out.
Also need to lower the ride height at the sidecar wheel a little more.
And I don't think my steering dampener is working like it should, got the angle wrong. Its the arc the front end turns through, as the front end turns from right to left to dampener rod moves in, then a little past straight ahead it starts moving out, so there's a point where its probably doing nothing. So far it hasn't been a problem, its just one of those things that bugs me.
Finally got the handlebars in the one place that the master cylinder doesn't hit either the fairing or the tank (small ouch) It doesn't turn as sharp as it use to, just takes one extra time forward and back getting out of the garage.
The ride is a little on the stiff side, but not uncomfortable.
I have notice the front end doesn't push nearly as much. On some corners around here it was very noticable with the old front end.
The good news is I'm pretty sure it will still do a bat turn, haven't pushed it hard yet, but got about half way around in the Methodist Church parking lot a couple nights ago. The bad news was that my wife was just pulling in to go to Cub Scout meeting and saw me, got a lecture about doing that stuff with the kids in the sidecar.
Looks like the next project may be a JZR kit for the wife. http://www.freewebs.com/jzrusa/
She want to hand down her rig to Cody (who's just turned 15 and is getting a learners permit today.) (there no posty for screaming in agony)
And just noticed today, probably due to the extra 2 inches or so the front wheel moved forward the front of the sidecar doesn't drag some places it use to. _________________ Mike Currin

There's a guy here locally just built a three wheel Morgan replica from scratch. I'll try and get some pics for you. _________________ Corret me if I'm wrong, everyone else does! |

They're a little pricey for what we want, plus there's nothing to put together. _________________ Mike Currin

It has a Harley Motor, you could continuously work on that. _________________ Bill

Fixing is never as much fun as building.
The Harley does look a lot more like a Morgan, but this is suposed to be something fun for Jody to drive around in, and when asked what motor she'd prefer, SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED said the fastest one you can get. So of the choices CX-500, Moto Guzzi, HD, and ST-1100, the ST seems like the choice. _________________ Mike Currin

Now imagine a ram air breather on top and that'll be what we're thinking. _________________ Mike Currin
