Well, I have started the journey towards a HPS rig. I have just picked up a complete Spitfire front suspension. Still working on what I want for motive power. I'm leaning towards a shaft drive powerplant. Goldwing 1800 swingarms and rear drives are cheap and plentiful as many Goldwing 1800 owners turn the bikes into trikes. I'm thinking an early Goldwing motor would make a nice powerplant. I'm not looking for 100 hp. I just want a rig that will cruise at 75-80 mph, and handle the turnpikes well. I'm open to any advice you may have to offer.

Why don't you just start with a complete gold wing?
Spit fire suspension? Is that from a Triumph?
What are you ideas?

Bill, I intend to use the (Triumph) Spitfire suspension as the front suspension (left side). I am up in the air about using the Spitfire right side for the chair suspension, or go with a swingarm. I am planning this endeavor on a very tight budget. The tug is still in question. It may be that a Wing would be easier to start with. I am sort of going at this from the other direction. I want to get the front and chair suspension/chassis worked out first, then I'll figure out what I want to connect it to. I will post a photo of the Spitfire suspension.
