Made it home from Maggie Valley Monday afternoon, a little damp and butt a little sore, but none the worse for wear. 36 hours after I rode through on it, a section of I-88 here in NY was washed out with the rain we've had over the last few days.

Thanks to Roger and the whole gang at Maggie Valley for welcoming me into the group. I had a great time, and think I learned a bit about riding these 3-wheeled contraptions. It will be a while yet before I'll be able to keep up with y'all in the twisties, but I'm working on it.

We actually had a little time to "play" on the dragon this year. Although, the best part was watching Roger yell at a Harley rider going 10 miles an hour that would not yield. The guy would not pull over and gave us the one finger salute sevaral times. Spectators along the way were yelling at the guy too. He even tried to wave us around into oncoming traffic. A real asshole! I was expecting Ralph to fire a couple of warning shots over his head. Laughing

Worship Worship your the man!! the only one to ride in. you looked like you were heading for the barn Laughing Laughing when you blew by us in our car on RT81. It was awesome seeing you and that Bandito humming right along in the outside lane. I think I spotted you about 1/2 mile back.

I guess my mother was right when she used to tell me that I "... didn't have the sense to come in out of the rain". Especially for the trip home from Maggie Valley. And when it wasn't raining on Sunday afternoon, it was blistering hot, stuck in stop and go traffic for about an hour in I-81 in Va, for an accident up ahead. All you smart guys were sitting in your comfy, air conditioned vehicles, with the rig comfortably towed behind.

My total miles for the trip down and back home was just about 1900 miles, with 600 more riding around down there, total for the whole trip was 2510. The Bandit is actually a pretty comfortable riding position - handlebars high enough and footpegs low enough to sit like that all day, although I think I'm going to check out what Mike Corbin has for replacement seats before I take another extended trip on the beast.
