One last post tonight before I go to bed. Cool

These are photos of my modified motorcycle rim. Very Happy

My solution to the problem mentioned earlier. Thinking

Car beads welded to the motorcycle rim. Confused

I'm sure some of you will not be able to resist inquiring about this. Big Grin

Good night. ...or are you just happy to see me?

To be continued...

Nice pic's Bill, on the last picture of the wheel you have one excellent picture of your anti-sway bar linkage. Maybe this isn't a fair question but, how much adjustment do you need to have and do you need the same for both sides?

Thanks,
Lee

The other side, or sidecar side of the swaybar is non-adjustable. What I tried to do is strap down or weigh down the sidecar and motorcycle to where it would be with me on the bike with a typical load in the sidecar. Then made a threaded sleeve the correct length. It is adjustable, but I don’t think I’ll need to adjust it again unless something drastically changes, you know, If I gain a hundred pounds or something like that. Laughing

Thanks Bill

Now, let me see if I've learned things correctly...

The reason it is adjustable is to balance the loading on the sway bar arms created by their differance in length. (as well as changes in weight)

You are right, I am one of those who can't resist inquiring about it. Absolutely beautiful welding job! Did you do that, or was it welded by machine? Nothing like a good looking even and uniform welding bead to make me smile. Congratulations! Razz

I wish I could take credit for it, but twas not me.
A fellow in California that builds drag bikes modified it for me.
He told me that he has made over 2500 wheel similar to this one. Mostly 15" wheels. I don't think it will solve everybodys problem, but it is another option. I get to retain the stock brakes and cush drive. Motorcycle Happy

Looks great Bill! Almost a shame to put a tire on it and cover up those welds Smile
